Current Occupation & Experience
Abhishek Kumar this side, residing in Ranchi, one of the happening city of India. I am currently working as Manager in CMPDIL(Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited), a consulting subsidiary of Coal India Limited. Coal India Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking working in the area of coal mining. Talking more about Coal India Limited:
- It is the largest government-owned-coal-producer in the world.
- It is also the ninth largest employer in India
- It contributes to around 80% of the total coal production in India
- As per the current estimates, it earned revenue of around 138,251 crores (US$16 billion) in FY 2022-23 with net profit of 28,133 crores (US $ 3.4 billion)- Source MoneyControl
CMPDIL provides consultancy to Coal India Limited in area related to planning, designing and research. I have also worked in Central Coalfield Limited for 6 years which is one of the production subsidiary of Coal India Limited. I have been associated with Coal India Limited from 2012.
Educational Background
I have studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools till 12th and did my B.Tech from NIT Raipur in Electrical Engineering. With interest in programming and development lead to my enrollment in BS in Programming and Applications from IIT Madras (currently at Degree Stage, will be hopefully completed in late 2024).
Hobbies & Aspirations
I am an avid reader of Non fiction books. I give atleast 15 mins daily to the book for the last 2 years and it has really changed the way I look life now, learning things which wouldn't have been possible without reading. With both work and studying BS, I also aspire for doing MBA from one of the top business college of the world, because while I do work, I feel there are some business skills which I should acquire that not only help in realising my full potential but also provide me the opportunities to make postive impact on the world. I have started the journey in getting to the top Business College through the preparation of GMAT. I have started it from 26.08.23 and I will updating the progress on this forum Day by Day about the progress of the preparation.
